unable to play videos

Currently I'm test driving and figuring out how this program and the whole ecosystem is going to be implemented into my server architecture. I have a singular user who is currently using the program and when he tries to play the video it says unknown As the title of the video, even though he can very clearly go into, like, let's say, the anime section, select ghosts in the shell, and then the specific episode that he wants to play, but it just doesn't play at all. It just says unknown as the title. And looking on the back end, I don't even see a request or a video started on the logs, so I'm not exactly sure what the disconnect is. I've already had him completely uninstall the application and clear the cache and then reinstall it and then re-log back into the actual application. That didn't do anything. It's still happening. I even tried it myself and I have been able to replicate the exact same problem. Any time I try to play a video, I just get an unknown as the title header for the video itself. And the video doesn't play.
