Channel surf your own Jellyfin library. Your films become always on channels (derived from genres) that follow the clock, so you join a film part way through, flick between channels, and open anything that catches your eye in Jellyfin.

Needs Jellyfin 12.x and a browser. There is nothing extra to host: the plugin serves its own player page from your Jellyfin server.

Alpha. A pet project that has only ever run on my own server. It hasn't been properly code reviewed or tested on anyone else's setup. Expect rough edges, and please open an issue when you find one.

What it does

• Channels are rules over your library: a default set (Anything Goes, New Movies, Kids, Documentaries, decades and more), plus one per genre you switch on. Two TV channels follow: Reruns (comedy episodes shuffled) and Box Sets (every series in hour-long blocks).
• Schedule. Every channel loops forever from a fixed start date, so what's on comes from the clock. Nothing is stored, and everyone with the same library access sees the same thing.
• Flicking. Channels go up like a dial. The next channel is kept buffered so a flick is instant; if it isn't ready yet you get static until it is.
• Guide (G): every channel, what's on and what's next. O opens the current film in Jellyfin. C toggles subtitles, M mutes, F goes full screen, 0–9 jump to a channel.
• Playback. MP4 and WebM files the browser supports play directly. Everything else goes through Jellyfin's HLS, which remuxes when it can and transcodes when it must. Subtitles follow each viewer's Jellyfin preferences.
• Reporting. Plays show in Dashboard → Sessions and in Playback Reporting. Whether they count as watched is a setting (off by default).
• Phones and tablets. Add to Home Screen gives it an icon of its own that opens full screen.
