Maintainerr — The Perfect Media Janitor

Maintainerr is a free, open-source, self-hosted app that helps you reclaim storage space by automatically finding and removing unwatched or unwanted media from Jellyfin, Emby, and Plex.

If you run a request system like Seerr, it's easy for users to add everything they can think of — and never watch most of it. Maintainerr finds those outlying items sitting in your library and helps you clean them up on your terms.

How it works

You build rules from parameters across Jellyfin, Emby, Plex, Sonarr, Radarr, Tautulli, Streamystats, and Seerr — things like last watch date, release date, rating, file size, or request status. Matching media is grouped into collections (for example, a "Leaving Soon" collection shown on your home screen) with an optional countdown before deletion. When the timer runs out, Maintainerr can delete the files from disk, unmonitor them in Radarr/Sonarr, and clear the original requests from Seerr.
