HDHomeRun Guide is a Jellyfin server plugin for SiliconDust HDHomeRun tuners.

It fetches guide data from SiliconDust's official XMLTV API, caches it locally, generates Jellyfin-compatible XMLTV and M3U files, and can automatically update Jellyfin Live TV's tuner and guide paths.

At SiliconDust/HDHomeRun's request, the plugin no longer uses the older render-oriented /api/guide endpoint. Current releases are XMLTV-only.

SiliconDust documents 2 days of XMLTV guide data for everyone and 14 days with HDHomeRun DVR guide service. Actual returned guide duration is controlled by SiliconDust entitlement/server behavior.

Install

Download the latest release zip from GitHub, extract it into Jellyfin's plugin directory, restart Jellyfin, then configure it from:

Dashboard -> Plugins -> HDHomeRun Guide

2. Extract the zip into your Jellyfin plugins directory.

   Common paths:

   Linux: /var/lib/jellyfin/plugins/HDHomeRun Guide_0.3.1.0/

   macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/jellyfin/plugins/HDHomeRun Guide_0.3.1.0/

3. Restart Jellyfin.

4. Open Jellyfin: Dashboard -> Plugins -> HDHomeRun Guide

5. Click Add My Tuners or enter your HDHomeRun tuner IP manually.

6. Optional: enter your SiliconDust account email if you want to use the documented Email + DeviceIDs XMLTV access path.

7. Save. The plugin will refresh guide data and configure Jellyfin Live TV paths automatically if that option is enabled.
