Description
Fathom is a modern, native Jellyfin client for the desktop that treats your media library like it deserves. Built with Flutter and a libmpv (media_kit) playback engine, it delivers smooth, high-quality video with full audio-track and subtitle support on both Linux and Windows. One app, your whole media world.
Beyond gorgeous Movies, TV, and Live TV playback, Fathom pulls everything together:
- Rich playback — a libmpv-powered engine with multiple audio tracks and subtitles, Skip Intro / Skip Credits, resume-where-you-left-off, and a refined player HUD that stays out of your way.
- Live TV — a frosted live HUD with server-driven live seek, a one-tap LIVE button, and full subtitle support.
- Server administration — run your entire Jellyfin server right from the app, no separate web dashboard required. Manage users, devices, and active sessions; edit server config (general, playback, branding, networking, API keys); set up Live TV and DVR; browse, install, and manage plugins; and stay on top of maintenance with scheduled tasks, activity, logs, and system info.
- SyncPlay — a full two-way peer (clock-sync, scheduling, pause / seek / buffering) that interoperates with official and third-party Jellyfin clients so movie night just works, wherever everyone is.
- Built-in YouTube (optional) — a first-class YouTube experience without ever leaving the app. Completely ad-free playback, built-in SponsorBlock that automatically skips sponsors, self-promos, intros, outros, and other filler, a reclaimable mini-player (picture-in-picture), theater mode, and downloads for offline viewing. Enable it only if you want it.
- Seerr integration (optional) — browse, request, and manage content (approve / decline / edit, mark available) right from the detail page, so filling gaps in your library is a couple of taps away.
- In-app updates — self-updating from GitHub Releases; you are always on the latest without hunting for a download.
- Localization — fully translatable and Weblate-ready.
Coming in future releases: Android phone / tablet and Android TV builds (with native Chromecast) and built-in internet radio (search, group, and favorite stations with live now-playing metadata). All are in testing today.
