Discoverr is a lightweight Discord bot designed for self-hosted media servers. It automatically posts curated movie and TV recommendations into Discord every day and lets your community request titles directly through Seerr without ever leaving Discord.

Instead of expecting people to constantly browse Seerr or ask "what should we watch?", Discoverr brings fresh recommendations to them.

Discoverr is designed to sit alongside a typical media stack including:

It doesn't replace Seerr—it complements it by making discovery effortless inside your Discord server.

How it works

At scheduled times, Discoverr queries TMDb to build recommendation pools for each category. It intelligently filters and diversifies results before posting rich Discord embeds.

Every post includes a Request button that submits directly to Seerr using a dedicated account you configure. Users never need to leave Discord to request something new.

Security

Discoverr only communicates with:

• Discord
• TMDb
• Seerr

It does not connect to or control your Jellyfin server directly.

The bot only has the permissions granted to the dedicated Seerr account you create, so you remain in complete control over what it can request.
