AI Search adds a search bar to the Jellyfin web client. You type what you're in the mood for, and it answers with a handful of movies from your own library, each with a one-line reason why it fits. It knows what you've already watched and what you marked as favorite. Click a result and you land on its detail page, ready to play.

No third party is involved unless you point the plugin at one. Your prompt goes from your browser to your Jellyfin server, and from there to whatever AI backend you configured: a local Ollama, your own platform, or a hosted API if that's what you prefer.

I built this for my own library (about 3000 movies, mostly with French metadata), so everything below is tested on a real, medium-sized, non-English collection.
