Opening search
- TV: select Search at the top of the sidebar.
- Phone and tablet: open the Search tab.
Using search
- Start typing. Results update as you type.
- On TV, use the on-screen keyboard or a Bluetooth keyboard.
- Select a result to open its page.
The microphone button starts voice input and writes the words into the search field while you speak. It is hidden on devices without speech recognition, such as Fire TV. The first time you use it, the app asks for microphone access.
What is searched
Results are grouped into Movies, Series, Collections, Episodes and People. With linked profiles, search covers every linked server.
Live TV, Music and online subtitles have their own search fields in their own screens.
Titles you can request
If your admin gave you Watch Pass with a request server, search can also show titles that are not in your library under Not in your library - available to request. Each result has a Request button, then shows Requested or Already available.
Turn this on or off in Settings → Search → Show requestable titles in search (labelled Unified search on phone). It is locked without an active Watch Pass and a configured request server. See Requests.
