Requirements
- An active Watch Pass granted by your server admin.
- A request server (Seerr or Jellyseerr) configured by your admin in the pass.
- Your Jellyfin account linked in Seerr. The app signs in with your Jellyfin account. Local Seerr-only accounts are not supported.
Where to find it
- TV: Request in the sidebar. It appears when the pass has a request server.
- Phone and tablet: the Requests tab.
- Search: with Unified search on, titles missing from your library appear with a Request button. See Search.
Discover
The Discover tab shows sections: Trending, Popular Movies, Popular Series, Upcoming Movies, Upcoming Series, Movie Genres, TV Genres, Networks and Studios. Select See all to open a full list.
Use the search field (Search for a movie or series…) to find any title.
Filters
The filtered search offers: type (All, Movies, Series), Sort by (votes, popularity, rating, recent, oldest, revenue), genre, year, language, rating, duration, release date, keywords (include and exclude), vote count, streaming platforms, and for series a status (Airing, Planned, In production, Ended, Cancelled, Pilot). Select Apply, or Reset.
Request a title
- Open a title.
- Select Request Movie or Request Series.
- For a series, pick the seasons (Select seasons to request:), then Request. Expand a season to see its episodes.
- Confirm Add to your request list? The app shows Request sent.
For a collection, the page lists its films with Request All, or you can pick films one by one.
The app sends the title and seasons to Seerr. Quality profile, destination and 4K choices follow the defaults set on your Seerr server.
Status labels
Pending, Approved, Declined, Processing, Available and Partial.
My Requests
The Watch Pass screen lists My Requests with their status. You can delete a request you made.
Report a problem
When a title is available (or partly available) in Seerr, a Report button appears on its page.
- Choose a Type: Video, Audio, Subtitles or Other.
- For a series, choose the season and episode, or All seasons and All episodes.
- Describe the problem and select Send.
Follow your reports in the My reports tab (Open, Resolved, All). You can add comments, and close or reopen a report. If Seerr refuses, you see You do not have permission to view reports.
Available requests
When a requested title arrives in your library, it appears in the Available requests row on Home. Select it to open the title.
Notifications when the app is closed (phone and tablet)
The app can notify you when a requested title is ready, even if JellyWatch Player is closed.
- Open Settings → Notifications → Available requests.
- Read the explanation and select Enable. The app stores a Seerr session on JellyWatch's servers so it can check your requests. It is used for nothing else, and your Jellyfin password never leaves the device.
This needs Premium and an active Watch Pass. After you change the switch you must wait a few minutes before you can change it again. This notification is not available on TV. On TV the Available requests row is updated while the app is open.
Notifications use the Available requests channel and read Ready to watch, then … is available.
