Overview
JellyWatch Player keeps several accounts on one device. An account can be another user on the same server or a user on a different server, Jellyfin or Emby. Each account has its own watch history, Continue Watching row and settings. The settings are stored per account.
Who's watching?
- TV: select your avatar at the top of the sidebar.
- Phone and tablet: Settings → Who's watching?, or the avatar on the side rail of a tablet.
The screen lists every saved account. Select one to switch to it.
You can have the app show this screen every time it opens: turn on Show Who's watching at launch in Settings. It applies to the whole device.
Add an account
- Open Who's watching? and select Add account.
- Choose how to add it:
- Choose from server users lists the public users of the server you are on. Each shows No password or Has password.
- Add manually (login) opens the login screen to enter another server and credentials.
- For a child account, choose the Profile type: Standard (for adults) or Child (Kids mode). See Kids Profile.
PIN protection
You can lock a profile with a 4-digit PIN. On TV, open Settings → PIN protection. Choose what it protects:
- Switching to this profile: the PIN is asked when someone selects the profile.
- Deleting this profile: the PIN is asked before the profile is removed.
You can change or remove the PIN at any time. After too many wrong attempts the PIN dialog locks for a short time.
Remove an account
Select an account and choose Remove account. The account is removed from this device only. Nothing changes on the server. If it is the last account, removing it signs you out.
Linked profiles
If you use several servers, you can combine profiles into a single Home. See Multi-Server and linked profiles.
