Overview
On Android TV and Google TV, JellyWatch Player can publish rows directly on the launcher home screen. You see what to watch next without opening the app.
Published channels
| Channel | Content | Items |
|---|---|---|
| Continue Watching | Movies and episodes in progress | Up to 15 |
| One channel per library | The newest items of that library. The channel is named after the library, for example Movies or TV Shows. | Up to 15 per library |
A channel with no items is removed.
Opening an item
Selecting an item opens JellyWatch Player on the page of that title. Supported links are jellywatch://movie/{id}, jellywatch://series/{id}, jellywatch://episode/{id} and jellywatch://collection/{id}. Selecting the channel itself opens Home.
Updates
Channels refresh when the app loads fresh Home data, for example when you open it or return to it.
If the channels do not appear
- Open JellyWatch Player and go to Home. This triggers an update.
- Return to the Android TV launcher. The rows can take a few seconds to appear.
- Check that your launcher supports app channels. Some custom launchers, including some Fire TV launchers, do not.
Removing channels
Signing out of the app removes all its channels. You can also remove one by long-pressing the row on the launcher and choosing Remove channel.
This feature is for TVs. It is not available on phones and tablets.
