Is JellyWatch Player the same app on TV and on phone?
Yes. It is one app (com.jellywatch.tv). It shows a TV interface on a television and a touch interface on a phone or tablet.
What is the difference with JellyWatch Admin?
JellyWatch Admin is a separate app to monitor and manage your server (sessions, users, statistics, external services). JellyWatch Player is for watching. The Admin app also hosts the Watch Pass that gives your users extra features in the Player.
Do I need Premium?
No. Playback, browsing, search, recommendations, SocialWatch, Watch Party, downloads and more are free. Premium is a one-time purchase for customisation. See Premium.
Is Premium shared with JellyWatch Admin?
No. Each app has its own products. Premium in the Player does not unlock anything in the Admin app, and the other way around.
Where is my purchase restored?
Automatically. The app checks your store account each time it starts. There is no restore button.
Does Premium work on Fire TV?
Yes. The Amazon Appstore build sells Premium with Amazon in-app purchasing. Google Play and Amazon purchases are separate, so a Premium bought on Google Play is not recognised by an Amazon-store install.
Can I use Watch Pass?
Yes, if your server admin bought Watch Pass in JellyWatch Admin and added your account. See Watch Pass.
Does it need an account with JellyWatch?
No. Recommendations work without a JellyWatch account. A Google account is needed only for a few features: connecting a TV from a phone (Quick Login), cloud backup, and SocialWatch.
How do I sign in on a TV without typing?
Use Sign in from JellyWatch app on the TV, then open Settings → Connect my TV on your phone and enter the 6-character code. See Connecting your server.
Does it support Emby?
Yes. Browsing, playback, Live TV, multi-account and linked profiles work with Emby. These features need Jellyfin: Watch Party, online subtitle search, Skip Intro and credits, trickplay and theme songs.
Can I use two addresses (home and away) for the same server?
The app stores one address per account. Use an address that works everywhere, such as a domain name with HTTPS.
What does the Kids profile do?
It gives children a simpler interface with large cards, a parental PIN and optional screen-time limits. The first Kids profile is free. See Kids Profile.
The video judders on 24p films. How do I fix it?
On a TV, turn on Match frame rate in Settings → Playback. See Match frame rate.
The launcher rows are missing

Which languages are supported?
Forty languages, English included. Change it in Settings → Language.
