Overview
JellyWatch for Android TV includes a gamification system that rewards you for watching content on your server. Earn XP, level up, and unlock achievement badges.
Accessing Achievements
Navigate to Achievements in the sidebar. The icon changes as you level up:

How It Works
- You earn XP by watching movies and episodes on your server.
- XP accumulates toward the next level.
- Certain milestones unlock badges displayed on your profile.
- Your level and badge are visible in the sidebar avatar header when the drawer is expanded.
Achievement Unlock Overlay
When you unlock a new achievement, a pop-up overlay appears above the current screen (outside the player) to celebrate the unlock. It dismisses automatically after a few seconds.
Sync
Achievements are synced with the JellyWatch backend:
- Progress is loaded from the server on login.
- Local progress is synced back when the app is foregrounded or after playback.
- If the device has been offline, progress syncs as soon as connectivity is restored.
Enabling / Disabling
Gamification can be toggled in Settings. When disabled, the Achievements nav item is hidden and no unlock overlays are shown.
