Session Monitoring
The Active Sessions section displays every stream currently playing on your server:
Session Card Details
Each session card shows:
- User avatar and name
- Media poster and title (movie, episode, or music)
- Progress bar with current position and total duration
- Playback state — playing, paused, or buffering
- Client name and device type
- Playback method — Direct Play, Direct Stream, or Transcode
Session Actions
Tap on a session to access:
- Transcode details — view video/audio codec, resolution, bitrate, and whether the stream is being transcoded
- Send message — send a text message to the user's client (Premium)
- Media info — detailed stream information including subtitle tracks
Session Messaging (Premium)
With Premium, you can send messages to active sessions directly from the dashboard. This is useful for notifying users about server maintenance or other messages.
Playback Method Indicators
| Method | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Direct Play | Media plays natively — no server processing |
| Direct Stream | Container is remuxed but codecs are untouched |
| Transcode | Server is re-encoding video and/or audio |
Auto-Refresh
Sessions automatically refresh at a configurable interval (default: 30 seconds). Premium users can set faster intervals for near real-time monitoring.
