It adds personalized recommendations, YouTube trailers, language flags on posters, a version picker for movies, better Seerr screens, and a large batch of new achievements. It also brings together a long list of earlier improvements, from SocialWatch and anti-spoilers to offline downloads and Android Auto. Here is what each change does and where to find it. Features marked **Premium** are part of JellyWatch Premium. ### What is new at a glance **New in this version** * **Recommendations:** up to eight shelves built from your own taste, on TV and mobile. * **YouTube trailers:** a Trailer button on movie and series pages. * **Language flags:** audio language flags on posters, off by default. * **Choose your version:** pick the 1080p or 4K file before you press Play. * **Seerr notifications (Premium):** get told when a title you requested is ready. * **Seerr improvements:** better Seerr screens, including searching for series. * **New achievements:** movie, series, playback time, habit and streak milestones. **Also in this update** * **SocialWatch:** a community layer for your library. * **Anti-spoilers (Premium):** unwatched episodes give away less. * **New SyncPlay experience:** smoother, more reliable watching together. * **New languages:** twelve more interface languages. * **CastSpotlight (Premium):** explore the cast from the player. * **Mobile player, Home layout, Downloads and real-time dashboard sync.** * **Offline Downloads, Shuffle episodes, Library shuffle and Android Auto.** * * * ### Recommendations JellyWatch now suggests what to watch next, using your own library and your own taste. No account is required. #### What it looks at Your favorites, your ratings, your watch history, your series habits and your Seerr requests. The more you watch, the better it gets, and a new profile starts with simple suggestions based on ratings and what is new in your library. #### The shelves Up to eight shelves are filled. A shelf only appears when there is enough to put in it. | Shelf | What it shows | | ---------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------ | | For you | Your best matches | | You will probably like | The next best matches | | Same mood as your favorites | Titles close to the ones you love most | | Because you liked (a title) | Titles similar to one specific title you liked | | Series that match your taste | Series picked for you | | To watch tonight | Movies that fit the length you usually watch | | Hidden gems in your library | Very well rated titles outside your usual genres | | Movies outside your habits | Good movies from genres you rarely watch | #### Stays out of your way New rankings are prepared silently in the background. When they are ready, a banner says **New recommendations available** and you choose when to apply them, so your shelves never change while you are browsing. #### You stay in control Press and hold a title and choose **Don't recommend** to stop seeing it. It will no longer appear in your recommendations, and your watch history does not change. Changed your mind? The list of ignored titles lets you tap **Recommend again**. #### How to turn it on 1. Open **Recommendations** from the menu. 2. Tap **Enable Recommendations**. 3. Wait while JellyWatch analyzes your library. You can leave the page, it keeps working in the background. ### You can see whether it is connected for the current profile in Settings. ### YouTube trailers Movie and series pages now have a **Trailer** button when trailer links are available. Tap it and the trailer opens in the YouTube app or your browser. If there are several, you pick one from a list. * Trailer links come from the metadata of your Jellyfin server, which usually points to YouTube. * Seerr movie and series pages offer the trailers Seerr provides too. * On TV, the button is hidden in Kids profiles. * Local trailer files stored on your server still work for the animated backdrop, nothing changes there. * * * ### Language flags ### Small flags on posters show the audio languages of a movie or series, so you can spot the version you want at a glance. Up to three flags are shown, followed by a +N badge when there are more. Language flags are off by default. To turn them on, open **Settings**, go to **Appearance** and enable **Language flags**. It works on TV and mobile. ### Choose your version ### Many libraries hold the same movie twice, for example a 1080p file and a 4K file. When a movie has more than one version, a **Version** selector now appears on its page. Pick the one you want, then press Play. Versions are named the way your Jellyfin server names them. A version without a name shows as Version 1, Version 2 and so on. ### Seerr notifications (Premium) Get notified when a movie or series you requested in Seerr is ready in your library. * A notification appears while JellyWatch is open, and also while it is closed. * Ready titles also show up in an **Available requests** row on the home screen. Open the Requests tab to try it. ### New achievements More achievements are waiting to be unlocked. Here is a selection. | Category | Achievements | | ------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Movies | Movie Buff at 25, 50 and 100 full movies | | Series | Series Finisher at 5, 10 and 20 series, 500 Episodes, 1,000 Episodes, Insomniac (10 or more episodes in a row in one session) | | Playback time | 100 Hours, 250 Hours and 500 Hours of total playback | | Habits | Night Owl (midnight to 6 AM), Early Bird (5 AM to 9 AM), Speed Demon (1.5x speed for 3 sessions), Subtitle User | | Quality | 4K Cinephile (a title in 4K HDR), Audiophile (TrueHD or Atmos audio) | | Exploration | Explorer at 10 and 15 genres, Polyglot at 5 and 10 languages, Decade Explorer (5 decades) | | Streaks | 14, 30, 60, 100, 180 and 365 days in a row | ### Open the **Achievements** screen to see them all, along with your level and the leaderboard. Not into it? Achievements and their notifications can be turned off in Settings. ### Also in this update #### SocialWatch A community layer for your library, without ever sharing your server. Become a Watcher, like a movie or series, rate it with popcorns, and leave a short review. Helpful reviews rise to the top. A live strip shows what other Watchers are watching right now, and a recent activity feed shows new likes and reviews. Available on TV and mobile. #### Anti-spoilers (Premium) Unwatched episodes give away less before you play them. Thumbnails are blurred, titles become Episode 4, and summaries stay hidden. Season and episode numbers stay. The episode you opened stays fully visible, and watched episodes stay unchanged. The next episode shown at the end of playback follows the same rules. Works on TV and mobile. Turn it on in Settings. #### New SyncPlay experience A completely redesigned SyncPlay experience delivers a smoother, more reliable and perfectly synchronized way to watch together. Enjoy seamless playback synchronization across devices, with improved timing, stability and automatic recovery to keep everyone perfectly in sync from start to finish. #### New languages * Georgian * Arabic * Romanian * Russian * Hungarian * Indonesian * Norwegian * Czech * Hebrew * Danish * Greek * Finnish #### CastSpotlight (Premium) Tap the cast icon in the player to see who's in the movie or show and explore their other titles in your library. Available on TV and mobile. #### Mobile player Brightness and volume controls now use a vertical slider. The HUD no longer hides while you are adjusting them. #### Home layout Drag to reorder rows instead of using arrows. Toggle switches replace the eye icon. Changes apply instantly. Recently Added can now be placed first. #### Downloads New quality options with visible bitrate labels so you know exactly what you are downloading. A badge on the Settings tab shows active downloads at a glance. #### Real-time dashboard sync Continue Watching, Next Up and Recently Added update instantly across all your devices the moment something changes, no pull-to-refresh needed. Mark an episode watched on your phone and it disappears from Continue Watching on your TV in seconds. Finish a movie on the TV and the mobile dashboard reflects it straight away. Powered by a dedicated Jellyfin WebSocket connection that listens for server-side changes in real time, with automatic reconnection on network drops. A 15-second background refresh acts as a safety net when the server does not push a notification. #### Offline Downloads Download movies, episodes, music albums and entire series directly to your device for playback without an internet connection. Choose Original quality to save the exact source file, or pick 1080p, 720p or 480p to save space with server-side transcoding. Progress is shown in real time with a circular arc on the download button and a foreground notification. Manage everything from My Downloads in Settings. #### Shuffle episodes A new Shuffle button on every TV show detail page lets you instantly start a random episode queue across all seasons. Choose Shuffle All or Shuffle Unplayed. Works on both Jellyfin and Emby. #### Sort series by Recently Added Episode Libraries now support sorting by the date the newest episode was added to the server, matching the native Jellyfin web interface sort. #### Library shuffle confirmation and Play random Activating shuffle now shows a confirmation dialog. A new Play random button jumps directly to a random item, respecting active filters. #### Android Auto ### Browse and play your Jellyfin or Emby music library from a car screen via Android Auto. Supports albums, artists, playlists, audiobooks and voice search.
